Website checklist for fashion brands
A fashion brand’s website has to carry the brand’s feel and still sell online without friction. This checklist covers collections, product pages, fit and checkout basics, then everything else I check.

What a label website must get right first
Fashion is bought on feeling and kept on fit. The site needs editorial imagery that sets the tone, product pages that answer sizing and fabric questions, and a checkout that does not get in the way. I start with fit, returns and product detail, because those decide whether people buy.
How to use this checklist
28 checks in 6 groups.
Open your website in another tab and go group by group.
Tick an item only when you have checked it on the live site, on a phone as well as a computer.
Start with content and conversion.
Those groups are the most specific to fashion brands, and they are where most enquiries are won or lost.
Leave technical and AI search items for last.
They matter, but they are easier to fix in one pass, and the free tools linked below help with most of them.

Fashion brands websites: questions
Fit and fabric. Clear measurements, model size, composition and care answer the questions that stop people buying. Good photography sets the tone, but details close the sale.
Editorial content works when it feels like the brand: lookbooks, the making of a collection, styling notes. Generic fashion advice rarely helps.
If you sell through other shops, yes. People search for where to see your pieces in person, and a stockists page answers that and supports your retail partners.
