Website checklist for boutiques and retail shops
A boutique’s website has to bring people through the door and, if you sell online, make shopping easy. This checklist covers store info, curation, online shopping and local basics, then everything else I check.

What a shop website must get right first
A boutique sells a point of view and an experience. The site should show what you carry, why you chose it, and when people can come in. I start with hours, location and what is new, then online shopping if it suits your business.
How to use this checklist
28 checks in 6 groups.
Open your website in another tab and go group by group.
Tick an item only when you have checked it on the live site, on a phone as well as a computer.
Start with content and conversion.
Those groups are the most specific to boutiques and retail shops, and they are where most enquiries are won or lost.
Leave technical and AI search items for last.
They matter, but they are easier to fix in one pass, and the free tools linked below help with most of them.

Boutiques and retail shops websites: questions

Yes. People search for brands by name with “near me”. A brands page helps them find you and shows your curation.
