Schema markup generator for naturopathic doctors
Naturopathic clinics should use MedicalBusiness, the LocalBusiness subtype for health practices. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site’s head.

The properties that matter for naturopathic doctors
Type: MedicalBusiness. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
knowsAbout | People search for the concern, like hormone or gut health. Listing those helps search tools connect your clinic to the question. |
description | Say “naturopathic doctor” or “naturopathic clinic” clearly. Keep it factual and in line with what your college allows. |
areaServed | If you offer virtual consults across Alberta, list that. It widens the reach beyond your street address. |
paymentAccepted | Coverage varies by plan. Saying what you bill helps people decide before they call. |
Common mistakes
Making treatment claims in the description that you couldn’t make on the page. Schema text should match visible content.
Marking up the supplements you sell as Product on every page. Keep product markup to real product pages with real prices.
Copying the same knowsAbout list from a template. Use the areas you actually focus on.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for naturopathic doctors covers the rest.
Schema for naturopathic doctors: questions
Yes. It’s the general schema.org type for health practices and there’s no naturopath-specific one. I describe the focus areas in knowsAbout.
Only on pages that actually sell them with a price and availability. On the clinic schema, I leave products out.
It helps search engines and AI tools understand who you are and where, which is useful at any size. It’s a small, one-time job. It doesn’t replace good page content.
