Schema markup generator for physiotherapists
Physiotherapy clinics should use the Physiotherapy type, a specific MedicalBusiness subtype. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site’s head.

The properties that matter for physiotherapists
Type: Physiotherapy. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
@type | Physiotherapy is its own schema.org type. Using it is the single clearest signal of what the clinic does. |
knowsAbout | Back pain, sports injuries and vestibular rehab are separate searches. Naming them helps search tools match the right one. |
paymentAccepted | WCB, motor vehicle claims and direct billing decide where many patients go. Saying so helps the right ones find you. |
areaServed | If you offer mobile or home visits, list the communities you travel to. A storefront address alone undersells that. |
openingHours | Early-morning and evening slots are a common reason to choose a clinic. Accurate hours help. |
Common mistakes
Using MedicalClinic or LocalBusiness instead of Physiotherapy. The specific type exists, so use it.
Adding isAcceptingNewPatients. It isn’t defined on Physiotherapy, so I leave it out and say it on the page.
Marking up each physiotherapist as a separate business. The clinic is the business. Clinicians go on bio pages.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for physiotherapists covers the rest.
Schema for physiotherapists: questions
Physiotherapy. It’s a schema.org subtype of MedicalBusiness made for exactly this. It inherits everything from LocalBusiness, so address, hours and phone all work.
Use areaServed to list the communities you travel to, and say it clearly on the page. If you have no clinic at all, leave out the street address rather than using a home address.
Yes, in paymentAccepted, as plain text. It’s a real deciding factor and it supports what your page already says.
