Schema markup generator for immigration consultants
Immigration consultancies should use ProfessionalService, the schema.org LocalBusiness subtype for professional firms. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site’s head.

The properties that matter for immigration consultants
Type: ProfessionalService. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
knowsAbout | People search by program: Express Entry, a work permit, sponsorship. Listing the programs you handle helps search tools match you. |
knowsLanguage | Clients often want to work in their first language. It’s one of the strongest signals you can give. |
description | Say you’re a licensed consultant, plainly. It separates you from unlicensed operators in how people and machines read you. |
areaServed | Many clients are overseas. Your area served may be wider than Alberta. Say what’s true. |
Common mistakes
Using LegalService when you’re not a law firm. ProfessionalService is accurate for a licensed consultant.
Making outcome promises in the description. Keep schema text factual and in line with your regulator’s rules.
Marking up success stories as reviews. Self-serving review markup isn’t eligible for review stars in Google.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for immigration consultants covers the rest.
Schema for immigration consultants: questions
Only if you’re a law firm. A licensed immigration consultant fits ProfessionalService better, and it avoids implying you’re a lawyer.
There isn’t a clean, widely supported property for it on a business. I put the licence number in the footer and on the about page, where it’s clearly visible.
Yes. areaServed accepts any place. If you actively serve clients abroad, list them. Keep it to places you really serve.
