Schema markup generator for architects
Architecture studios should use ProfessionalService, since schema.org has no architect business type. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site’s head.

The properties that matter for architects
Type: ProfessionalService. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
knowsAbout | Custom homes, infill and commercial work draw different clients. Naming them helps search tools match you. |
description | Say “architecture studio” or “architecture firm” plainly. It’s a protected profession and the clearest signal you can give. |
areaServed | List the cities and regions where you take projects. It shapes which local searches you fit. |
image | Architecture is visual. A strong project image as the entity image gives AI tools and search a real sense of your work. |
Common mistakes
Using HomeAndConstructionBusiness. That suits builders and trades. Architecture is a professional service.
Calling the studio “architects” when it’s a design firm without registered architects. Keep the description accurate.
Listing styles like “modern” as knowsAbout instead of project types. Put style on the page.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for architects covers the rest.
Schema for architects: questions
No. ProfessionalService is the right business type. I make the profession clear in the description and knowsAbout.
Project pages can carry CreativeWork markup if you like, but the bigger win is a good title, real photos and clear text. The business schema stays about the studio.
Usually not. Architecture fees depend on the project. I leave it out and explain how fees work on the page.
