Website checklist for plumbing and heating companies
A plumbing website is often found mid-emergency, so it has to say quickly whether you can come and when. This checklist covers emergency service, heating and repair pages, then everything else I check.

What a plumbing company website must get right first
Half of plumbing calls are urgent: a burst pipe, no hot water, a backed-up drain. The other half are planned, like a water heater swap or a bathroom rough-in. I start with a clear emergency path and honest hours, then specific pages for water heaters, drains, boilers and gas work.
How to use this checklist
28 checks in 6 groups.
Open your website in another tab and go group by group.
Tick an item only when you have checked it on the live site, on a phone as well as a computer.
Start with content and conversion.
Those groups are the most specific to plumbing and heating companies, and they are where most enquiries are won or lost.
Leave technical and AI search items for last.
They matter, but they are easier to fix in one pass, and the free tools linked below help with most of them.

Plumbing and heating companies websites: questions
Only if it is true. Customers will call at 2 a.m. to check, and a wrong claim earns bad reviews quickly. If you offer limited after-hours service, say exactly what it covers.
Yes. They are different searches from different customers with different urgency. A page for each answers more precisely and has a better chance to rank than one combined list.
Your number, real hours, the areas you cover, and a few steps to take while waiting, like finding the main shut-off. It reassures people and shows experience.
