Schema markup generator for solar installers
Solar installers can use HomeAndConstructionBusiness, since installation is construction work on the home. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site.

The properties that matter for solar installers
Type: HomeAndConstructionBusiness. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
knowsAbout | Rooftop, ground-mount and battery storage are distinct jobs. Naming them helps AI tools match you to the right customer. |
areaServed | Solar installers often cover a wide rural area. List the regions you actually travel to. |
description | State plainly what you install and for whom. AI answers often lift this sentence. |
sameAs | Link your industry association listing and social profiles so your identity is easy to verify. |
Common mistakes
Putting savings or payback claims in the description. Those depend on each home; keep the markup to facts about your business.
Listing government rebate programs as if you run them. Mention them on a page, with dates, and keep schema to your own services.
Covering all of Alberta in areaServed when you don’t. Overstating reach leads to calls you can’t take.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for solar installers covers the rest.
Schema for solar installers: questions
Not a dedicated one. HomeAndConstructionBusiness fits installers who work on homes and properties. Plain LocalBusiness is valid but less specific.
Mention them in knowsAbout if they are a real specialty, and in your page content. Don’t put brand websites in sameAs.
It helps them understand what you do and where. Clear service pages and consistent details across the web matter just as much.
