Schema markup generator for landscape design companies
Landscapers can use HomeAndConstructionBusiness, which covers outdoor construction and yard work better than plain LocalBusiness. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site.

The properties that matter for landscape design companies
Type: HomeAndConstructionBusiness. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
areaServed | You work on the client’s property. List the quadrants, communities or towns you cover. |
knowsAbout | Hardscaping, softscaping and maintenance are different searches. Naming yours helps AI tools match the right jobs. |
openingHours | Calgary landscaping is seasonal. Keep hours current, and update them when you close for winter. |
image | A finished patio or yard says more than a truck photo. Use your best project shot. |
Common mistakes
Leaving summer hours in the schema all winter. If you close or switch to snow removal, update openingHours.
Publishing your yard or home address as a service-area business. Leave the street out and use areaServed.
Marking up a seasonal promotion as part of the business schema. Promotions change; keep the business markup to stable facts.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for landscape design companies covers the rest.
Schema for landscape design companies: questions
It is a good fit for companies that build patios, walls and yards. There isn’t a dedicated Landscaper type. Plain LocalBusiness is valid but says less.
Update openingHours when your season changes. The generator uses the simple format, like Mo-Fr 08:00-17:00. Keep it in step with your Google Business Profile.
Not usually. Add snow removal to knowsAbout and give it a clear page on your site. One business, one main schema block.
