Schema markup generator for HVAC companies
Heating and cooling companies should use the HVACBusiness type, not plain LocalBusiness. Fill in the form and I’ll build valid JSON-LD you can paste into your site.

The properties that matter for HVAC companies
Type: HVACBusiness. Every property below is a real schema.org property.
| Property | Why it matters |
|---|---|
knowsAbout | Furnace repair and heat pump installs are very different searches. Naming them helps AI tools match you to what people ask for. |
telephone | A furnace failing in January is an urgent call. Use the number that gets answered. |
openingHours | If you run emergency service, say so honestly. Keep regular hours accurate too. |
areaServed | Name the city and towns your technicians cover. |
paymentAccepted | Financing is common for new systems. Mentioning it answers a question people have early. |
Common mistakes
Listing manufacturer brand names as your business name or in sameAs. sameAs is for your own profiles, not the brands you install.
Publishing a home or shop address you don’t want visited. Leave the street out and use areaServed.
Putting rebate amounts in the description. Rebates change; keep the business markup to stable facts.
How to add it to your site
- Replace every example value in the form with your own details. They should match your Google Business Profile exactly.
- Copy the code and paste it into your page’s
<head>. Most site builders have a custom code field. On a hand-built site, it goes in the template. - Test the live page with Google’s Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org, and fix anything they flag.
- Add the same facts to the visible page. Structured data should describe what visitors can see. My website checklist for HVAC companies covers the rest.
Schema for HVAC companies: questions
Yes. HVACBusiness is a subtype of HomeAndConstructionBusiness meant for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning companies.
You can describe them on their own page in plain language. I keep the business markup simple and stable, and let the page explain plan details.
Mention them in your page content and in knowsAbout if they are a real specialty. Don’t add brand websites to sameAs; that property is for your own profiles.
