Website checklist for real estate developers

A real estate developer’s website has to make each project feel real before it is built and keep buyers and partners informed. This checklist covers project pages, registration and update basics, then everything else I check.

What a development website must get right first

Developers sell a future place to buyers, partners and the community at once. Each project needs its own clear story, honest timelines and a way to register interest. I start with strong project pages, a reliable update rhythm, and a company page that shows a track record.

How to use this checklist

28 checks in 6 groups.

  1. Open your website in another tab and go group by group.

Tick an item only when you have checked it on the live site, on a phone as well as a computer.

  2. Start with content and conversion.

Those groups are the most specific to real estate developers, and they are where most enquiries are won or lost.

  3. Leave technical and AI search items for last.

They matter, but they are easier to fix in one pass, and the free tools linked below help with most of them.

  4. Your ticks are saved in this browser.

Come back any time. Print it if you want to work through it with your team.

FAQ

Real estate developers websites: questions

  1. Usually not. A page for each project on your main site builds your company’s authority and keeps your track record in one place. A separate site makes sense only for very large, long-running projects.

  2. Renderings, location, unit types, floor plans, status, timeline and a way to register. Update it as the project moves forward so it stays the most accurate source.

  3. At milestones and on a steady rhythm you can keep up. Buyers notice when updates stop, so pick a schedule you can actually maintain.
