Web design for lawyers and law firms in Cochrane
I design and build websites for lawyers and law firms in Cochrane, planned around what local clients search and one clear action: request a consultation for a specific practice area.

Send me your site. I’ll look at it the way someone in Cochrane would when choosing a firm, and tell you what I’d change first.
What Cochrane clients search
People search for lawyers by practice area and city, and they favour firms close to home or to the courthouse they will attend. A Google Business Profile per office and practice-area pages that name the city carry most of the weight. Locals search "near me" and by town, and visitors heading west search for things to do and places to eat in Cochrane on their phones. Residents in Sunset Ridge or Fireside want services in town rather than a drive into Calgary. Your site needs to read as part of Cochrane, with a clear address and directions.
- family lawyer cochrane
- wills and estates lawyer cochrane
- real estate lawyer cochrane
- criminal defence lawyer near me
- family lawyer historic downtown
- wills and estates lawyer sunset ridge
- real estate lawyer fireside
Areas that come up in Cochrane searches: Historic Downtown, Sunset Ridge, Fireside, Heritage Hills, Riversong and GlenEagles.
Professional services in Cochrane
Accountants, lawyers, financial advisers and consultants in Cochrane often serve both town residents and the acreages and ranches around it. Clients value a local relationship, so a site that shows who you are and how you work matters more than size.
Cochrane is a foothills town west of Calgary on the Bow River, with a historic downtown and a long ranching history. It has grown quickly as families move out from Calgary, and many residents commute. Tourism and day-trippers on the way to the mountains support its shops, cafés and restaurants.
Rules for lawyers and law firms in Alberta
Law Society of Alberta. The Law Society of Alberta’s Code of Conduct sets the marketing rules. Alberta firms often serve clients across the province, so make clear where each lawyer is licensed and where you meet clients.
Alberta PIPA covers what your forms collect. The full breakdown, from testimonials to titles, is on the lawyers and law firms in Alberta page. Rules change, so check your regulator’s current standard.
The pages that win the work
The consultation form asks for the type of matter and the names of other parties so you can run a conflict check, and nothing about the facts. Each practice area page routes to the right lawyer or intake person. The phone number stays visible for urgent criminal and family matters.
A page per practice area
Family, criminal, estates, real estate, corporate. Each page explains the kinds of matters you take and what happens first.
A bio per lawyer
Year of call, jurisdictions, practice focus and a direct consultation link. Clients hire a lawyer, not a logo.
First consultation
Whether it is free or paid, how long it runs and what to bring. Uncertainty here is a common reason people stall.
Fees and retainers
Flat fees, hourly work and retainers explained in plain words, even if you do not publish numbers.
Answers to common questions
Short articles on the questions clients ask in the first meeting. They help people find you in search and show how you think.
Working together in Cochrane
Cochrane is a short drive from Calgary, so I can meet you in person for the kickoff and design review. In between we work over email and a shared preview link.
I work with Cochrane clinics, builders, shops and owner-run businesses who want a site that looks as considered as their work. Most need it to serve two audiences: locals who book again and again, and visitors who find them once.
I also work with lawyers and law firms nearby, in Bearspaw, Ghost Lake and Morley.
Lawyers and law firms in Cochrane: common questions
Cochrane is a short drive from Calgary, so I can meet you in person for the kickoff and design review. In between we work over email and a shared preview link. For a firm, the first meeting is usually about who your best clients are and what they need to see before they request a consultation for a specific practice area.
Searches like “family lawyer cochrane”, “wills and estates lawyer cochrane”, “real estate lawyer cochrane” and “criminal defence lawyer near me”. People search for lawyers by practice area and city, and they favour firms close to home or to the courthouse they will attend. A Google Business Profile per office and practice-area pages that name the city carry most of the weight. I plan the pages around those searches, so each one lands on a page that answers it.
In Alberta, the Law Society of Alberta sets the advertising standard. Privacy falls under Alberta PIPA. Rules change, so we check the current standard together before launch.
The minimum needed to run a conflict check and route the inquiry: name, contact details, type of matter and the names of other parties involved. It should say plainly that no lawyer-client relationship exists until you confirm one, and ask people not to send confidential details yet. That protects the client and keeps you from receiving information you may later be conflicted out of.
Publish what you can. Flat-fee work like wills, uncontested divorces and residential conveyancing often converts better with a clear starting price. For hourly matters, explain how billing and retainers work even if you leave rates for the consultation. Clients who understand the structure tend to arrive less anxious and with fewer surprises at invoice time.
