Web design for lawyers and law firms in Edmonton
I design and build websites for lawyers and law firms in Edmonton, planned around what local clients search and one clear action: request a consultation for a specific practice area.

Send me your site. I’ll look at it the way someone in Edmonton would when choosing a firm, and tell you what I’d change first.
What Edmonton clients search
People search for lawyers by practice area and city, and they favour firms close to home or to the courthouse they will attend. A Google Business Profile per office and practice-area pages that name the city carry most of the weight. Edmontonians search by neighbourhood and side of the river: "physio south Edmonton", "dentist Windermere", "restaurant Whyte Ave". The surrounding cities, like St. Albert and Sherwood Park, are separate searches with their own loyal customers. A site that names the areas you serve, backed by a matching Google Business Profile, wins those local searches.
- family lawyer edmonton
- wills and estates lawyer edmonton
- real estate lawyer edmonton
- criminal defence lawyer near me
- family lawyer downtown
- wills and estates lawyer old strathcona / whyte ave
- real estate lawyer ice district
Areas that come up in Edmonton searches: Downtown, Old Strathcona / Whyte Ave, Ice District, 124 Street, Windermere, Garneau, Summerside and South Edmonton Common.
Professional services in Edmonton
As the provincial capital, Edmonton has deep demand for law, accounting, engineering and consulting firms, including many that work with government and industry. Clients research credentials and experience before calling, so the site must show the people and the kind of work they do.
Edmonton is Alberta's capital, so provincial government, the University of Alberta and major hospitals are large parts of the city's economy. The Industrial Heartland northeast of the city anchors petrochemical and energy processing, and Edmonton is a long-standing service and supply base for northern Alberta. A strong independent restaurant, arts and festival scene rounds out the mix.
Rules for lawyers and law firms in Alberta
Law Society of Alberta. The Law Society of Alberta’s Code of Conduct sets the marketing rules. Alberta firms often serve clients across the province, so make clear where each lawyer is licensed and where you meet clients.
Alberta PIPA covers what your forms collect. The full breakdown, from testimonials to titles, is on the lawyers and law firms in Alberta page. Rules change, so check your regulator’s current standard.
The pages that win the work
The consultation form asks for the type of matter and the names of other parties so you can run a conflict check, and nothing about the facts. Each practice area page routes to the right lawyer or intake person. The phone number stays visible for urgent criminal and family matters.
A page per practice area
Family, criminal, estates, real estate, corporate. Each page explains the kinds of matters you take and what happens first.
A bio per lawyer
Year of call, jurisdictions, practice focus and a direct consultation link. Clients hire a lawyer, not a logo.
First consultation
Whether it is free or paid, how long it runs and what to bring. Uncertainty here is a common reason people stall.
Fees and retainers
Flat fees, hourly work and retainers explained in plain words, even if you do not publish numbers.
Answers to common questions
Short articles on the questions clients ask in the first meeting. They help people find you in search and show how you think.
Working together in Edmonton
We work over video calls with a shared preview link, which keeps the project moving as well as in-person meetings would. I'm in Alberta and can come up for a kickoff if it helps.
I work with the kind of Edmonton businesses that want a site built properly rather than assembled from a template: clinics, firms, builders and owner-run brands. They need a clear story, real photos and a site that turns visits into calls and bookings.
I also work with lawyers and law firms nearby, in Beaumont, Fort Saskatchewan, Stony Plain and Devon.
Lawyers and law firms in Edmonton: common questions
We work over video calls with a shared preview link, which keeps the project moving as well as in-person meetings would. I'm in Alberta and can come up for a kickoff if it helps. For a firm, the first meeting is usually about who your best clients are and what they need to see before they request a consultation for a specific practice area.
Searches like “family lawyer edmonton”, “wills and estates lawyer edmonton”, “real estate lawyer edmonton” and “criminal defence lawyer near me”. People search for lawyers by practice area and city, and they favour firms close to home or to the courthouse they will attend. A Google Business Profile per office and practice-area pages that name the city carry most of the weight. I plan the pages around those searches, so each one lands on a page that answers it.
In Alberta, the Law Society of Alberta sets the advertising standard. Privacy falls under Alberta PIPA. Rules change, so we check the current standard together before launch.
The minimum needed to run a conflict check and route the inquiry: name, contact details, type of matter and the names of other parties involved. It should say plainly that no lawyer-client relationship exists until you confirm one, and ask people not to send confidential details yet. That protects the client and keeps you from receiving information you may later be conflicted out of.
Publish what you can. Flat-fee work like wills, uncontested divorces and residential conveyancing often converts better with a clear starting price. For hourly matters, explain how billing and retainers work even if you leave rates for the consultation. Clients who understand the structure tend to arrive less anxious and with fewer surprises at invoice time.
