Web design in Marda Loop
I design and build websites for Marda Loop businesses that serve a loyal local crowd and need to be the obvious nearby choice. I'm in Calgary and meet in person.

Send me your site. I’ll look at it the way a local customer would and tell you what I’d change first. Coffee in the neighbourhood is on me if you want to talk it through.
The neighbourhood
Marda Loop is a commercial district in southwest Calgary centred on 33rd and 34th Avenue SW, serving Altadore, South Calgary and Garrison Woods. It has a busy mix of cafés, restaurants, boutiques, fitness studios and health clinics, with lots of new infill homes and young families nearby. Nearby Currie is a former military base redeveloped into a residential and mixed-use community.

How people find businesses here
Locals search with the area name: "marda loop coffee", "physio marda loop", "yoga altadore". Families often search for services within a short drive, so nearby community names like Altadore and Garrison Woods show up too.
Your Google Business Profile and a clear address block do most of the local work. The website gives Google something to confirm, and gives the person searching a reason to choose you over the place next door.
What your website should do
A Marda Loop site should feel neighbourly and get straight to booking. For clinics and studios I lead with online booking and class schedules. For shops and cafés I show hours, the space and what is new, and I name nearby communities so local searches find you.
I’m based in Calgary, so we can meet in person, walk the space if it helps, and take photos that look like the real place.
Marda Loop: common questions
Mention them honestly where they belong. A line like "serving Marda Loop, Altadore and Garrison Woods" on the homepage and contact page, plus a well-kept Google Business Profile, helps. I do not create fake location pages for each community, which can hurt more than help.
Yes, and it should be live. People check the schedule the morning they want to come. I embed the schedule from the booking tool you already use, so classes and spots update automatically, and keep a short first-visit page for people who have never been in.
When it affects access, yes. Infill and road work come and go, and customers want to know if parking or a door has changed. A short, temporary note on your contact page about how to reach you during work keeps regulars coming. I make it easy to remove once things are back to normal.
