Web design in 17th Avenue SW
I design and build websites for 17th Avenue SW restaurants, bars and shops that win the quick decision people make while walking the strip. I meet clients in person.

Send me your site. I’ll look at it the way a local customer would and tell you what I’d change first. Coffee in the neighbourhood is on me if you want to talk it through.
The neighbourhood
17th Avenue SW is one of Calgary's main dining, nightlife and shopping streets, running through the Beltline and Lower Mount Royal. It is lined with restaurants, bars, cafés and boutiques, and it fills up on game nights and summer weekends, when it is still remembered as the Red Mile. Competition for attention is intense, block by block.

How people find businesses here
People search the street by name: "17th ave restaurants", "best bar 17th avenue calgary", "happy hour 17th ave". Most of it happens on a phone, often while already walking the avenue.
Your Google Business Profile and a clear address block do most of the local work. The website gives Google something to confirm, and gives the person searching a reason to choose you over the place next door.
What your website should do
On 17th Avenue a site has seconds to win. I put the menu, today's hours, happy hour details and the reservation button at the top, and make sure the menu is real text, not a PDF. Photos show the actual room and the vibe on a busy night.
I’m based in Calgary, so we can meet in person, walk the space if it helps, and take photos that look like the real place.
17th Avenue SW: common questions
No. PDFs load slowly on phones, are hard to read and are invisible to search. I build the menu as real text that you can edit, so people can scan it in a few seconds and Google can match dishes to searches. You can still offer a printable version, but it should not be the main menu.
Whichever your floor staff already like. OpenTable, Resy and Tock are all common, and some places just take calls. I integrate the one you use so the button opens straight to your availability. What matters most is that the button is obvious and works on a phone.
With a simple notice you control. When the Flames are in the playoffs or there is a big event, people want to know if you take reservations, show the game or have a cover. I add a banner you can turn on from your phone, so the site reflects the night without a rebuild.
