Web design in Downtown Core
I design and build websites for downtown Calgary firms that need to look as credible online as they do in the boardroom. I meet clients in person in the core.

Send me your site. I’ll look at it the way a local customer would and tell you what I’d change first. Coffee in the neighbourhood is on me if you want to talk it through.
The neighbourhood
Downtown Calgary is the city's office centre, a grid of towers linked by the Plus 15 skywalk network. It is home to energy companies, banks, law and accounting firms and the many consultancies that serve them. Street-level retail and restaurants cluster along Stephen Avenue and inside the shopping centres connected to the towers.

How people find businesses here
Downtown clients often search by service and "calgary" rather than by neighbourhood: "employment lawyer calgary", "corporate accountant calgary". Restaurants and services for office workers get "near me" and "stephen avenue" searches during the workday.
Your Google Business Profile and a clear address block do most of the local work. The website gives Google something to confirm, and gives the person searching a reason to choose you over the place next door.
What your website should do
For a downtown firm, the site is often checked after a referral, so it has to confirm competence quickly. I focus on clear practice areas, real bios with credentials, and an address that explains which tower and which entrance, including the Plus 15 level if that is how people actually arrive.
I’m based in Calgary, so we can meet in person, walk the space if it helps, and take photos that look like the real place.
Downtown Core: common questions
Proof that you do the specific work they need, and who will do it. Corporate buyers skim practice areas, read one or two bios and look for signs of stability: real people, real experience, a real office. I keep the design restrained, the writing precise and the bios detailed. A site that looks cheap undercuts a referral that was already warm.
Precisely. Many towers have several entrances, security desks and Plus 15 connections, and visitors get lost. I write a short directions block naming the tower, the street entrance, the floor and how to reach you through the Plus 15 if that is easier in winter. It is a small detail that makes the first meeting start on time.
The pace is different. Downtown restaurants live on weekday lunches, after-work groups and corporate bookings, so the site should show lunch hours clearly, make group and private dining enquiries easy and load instantly on a phone in an elevator. Weekend hours, if you close, need to be just as obvious to avoid wasted trips.
